    Question $60 Hillside for the Featherbutts

    I have a couple of thoughts/questions concerning this years ticket sales for the Iowa vs ISU game on Sept 12th....

    a) Season tickets aren't the only option this year. Single game hillside tickets are available for $60.

    b) After the new upgrades, there's not as much room on the hillsides. Will there be a limit on the number of tickets sold for standing room only?

    c) Will JP keep the $90 cost for the Hawks 4,000 seat allotment the same?

    d) Will the "featherbutt-faithful" still snivel?

    Hopefully they are only sold to NCC members or season ticket holders so we can sell them to Hawk fans and get the price for them up to about $90 where it should be.

    I think the 4,000 seat allotment is built into the long term contract.
    Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

    My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk,superdorf, clones_jer. That is all.

    The real question is do Lil Clone club members get into this game free since it is a home game??? I'm guessing now, but it would probably sell more tix to parents if they did...

    I'm sure there will be scads of buses and tours and whatnot for that game, covering all sorts of different schedules. The ISUAA will undoubtedly do one, and plenty of local businesses. I can't say everything I know, but the athletic department is planning buses for students, and there will be a LOT of students in KC for that game.

    I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.
