AMES, Iowa - Iowa State's Cyclone Gridiron Club Spring Game will kickoff at 3 p.m. on April 18 in Jack Trice Stadium. The game will be played in a scrimmage format. The contest will feature the schemes Cyclone football players have learned during their first spring practice under new head coach Paul Rhoads. Admission is free.
The game will be held in conjunction with the annual campus VEISHEA celebration. The Cy's House of Trivia competition will start with a social at 5:30 p.m. with competition beginning at 6:30 p.m. that evening in Hilton Coliseum.
As Cyclone fans, what do you want to out of the spring practice. Do you want to see the new offense light up the defense, or would rather see the defense shut down your offense.
The reason I ask, is because it seems like most of you think the new offense is gauranteed to put 40+ a game with no problems. I would tend to think the defense should be well ahead of offense on April 18th, and if not I think you guys are in trouble.
I want to see the defense be opportunistic I just don't see them being that good they are going to have to get through the year taking chances and forcing turnovers. I want to see the offense being explosive.
