    White Running Backs

    Just curious... anyone know how many white running backs have made it to the NFL over the last 20 years?

    It always astounds me to see a white running back at the college level let alone any that might be in the NFL. White running backs in high school usually end up playing DB or slot receiver in college it seems like.

    No, fullbacks do not count!

    Isn't Sam McGuffie white? He's about the only white college rb I can think of right now.

    It's not racist.... I remember there was a REAL good white runningback from a dakota school or something along those lines. He set some sort of record for rushing yards ina season or something. I can't remember who it was though.. I'll try to find the name.

    Yeah... definitely don't think it's racist. The bottom line is there just aren't a lot of white guys playing running back. It's fact. Just like there aren't many (any?) citizens of Mexico in the NHL.

    I wouldn't call it rare, but there's obviously more black NBA stars than white.

    A white running back at the D-1 level though, that is rare.
