Spring Football: Tom Herman "Mic'd Up"
The grass always looks greener, on the other side of the fence, but the dog over there might be meaner, on the other side of the fence… Stay in your own yard, play in your own yard! -
Re: Spring Football: Tom Herman "Mic'd Up"
I can't begin to say how impressive that was

Re: Spring Football: Tom Herman "Mic'd Up"
have you ever got caught outside In a strong rainfall? Yes or NO. If it"s yes, then you might half felt the pane of hard(tought) rain on you head. If it hurt"s then it"s tough. Yes or no. Okay I'm right and you know it.
So alothough you attempt"ed to say you didn"t understnad, now you do. Fair enough? -
Re: Spring Football: Tom Herman "Mic'd Up"
Tom Herman or Robert McFarland.... hmmmmm I wonder who I would get more excited to play for. Practicing timeouts, letting players know they need to run routes well past the first down line, stressing red zone scoring, having fun? Impressive.
Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

I'm 31...Herman is like 33. It's just crazy for me to think a guy pretty much my age is our OC. I love it, but that dude looks young.

Re: Spring Football: Tom Herman "Mic'd Up"
That is one impressive man. I'm quite sure that I wouldn't be anywhere near as excited about this team and ISU's future without Herman being here. He exudes what I want to see in a coach. ISU got an absolute steal and let's hope he's here for a few years.

Re: Spring Football: Tom Herman "Mic'd Up"
Without ever seeing a practice last year, I am going to assume the difference between practicing last year and this year is night and day . . .
(At least that is what I hope)

He has a little fire in his belly
Gotta love his intensity. Plus, he really seems to have a lot of knowledge about the game!

Couldn't agree more!
Complement and Critique. with positive reinforcement. Makes me want to put on the pads and helmet right now.
Guy brings LOTS or energy! Originally Posted by Nedrick He has a little fire in his belly

Guy brings LOTS or energy! Nice observation. I have noticed two types of management styles in the business world: 1) Keeping people on their toes. 2) Keeping people on their heels. I think the benefits and advantages are obvious to each.
Depending on the person, 1 or 2 works better than the other. However, many teachers, managers, coaches can't identify or don't know when to use 1 or 2 . I would bet most of your current FB staff does...

That was amazing. If you can't get excited about ISU football after watching that you are either dead or a EIU fan.

Re: Spring Football: Tom Herman "Mic'd Up"
Guy appears to have his stuff together, Qb fundamentals throwing in a compact manner, no wonder why Chiz let the QB coach go. I like offensive coordinators that work with the QB's directly.

Re: Spring Football: Tom Herman "Mic'd Up"
i want him to be the coach after rhoads he is going to be a great coach
"Day after day, situation after situation you do things the right way. If you do things the right way, in life, you are going to be successful. I'm not just your football coach; I'm not just here to win games. I could not be prouder of who we are and who we are becoming, together. You do things right in the classroom, off and on the field; that's whats's makes us Cyclones and that's what our culture's all about."
