scoreboard for spring game

Does anyone know if they will be using the jumbo-tron and scoreboard for the spring game? Last year sucked because you couldn't tell how many td's were scored.

Last year's game was technically just a practice. From what I have read and heard this year's game will be a all out scrimmage. As a result I would guess that they will keep track of which side is winning.

They should be. The game is "game format" anyway so you won't see any of these special points for ripping a guys shirt off or anything like that.

Points for TDs, XPs and FGs, nothing else.

Did they score that many that you couldn't keep track yourself?

I think the prior regime had a unique scoring system, ie, a 3 and out was worth X points to the defense. So, having the scoreboard going would probably have confused as much as helped.

As others noted, this staff is going with standard scoring system.

Yeah, judging by how much emphasis Rhoads is seeming to put on the difference between winning and losing (from his interviews/press conferences at least), I would guess that they're going to make sure everyone knows the score.

In the last couple DMac-era spring games I went to, they ran the scoreboard but not the video screen. At least that's how I remember it...

I think the had the video screen running as far as advertising and that stuff goes but there was no replay or anything like that...

I liked the speech DMac would give to the crowd after the practice was over. Then some seniors would talk...I remember Todd and Bret talking their last year...

I could see CPR doing something like that...

For real though, people need to chill with the McCarney and Paul Rhoads comparisons. I for one want a better winning percentage than 39%
