Why is this titled Countdown to Auburn? Am I missing something? I might understand if this were Chizik coaching but this was McCarney's team.

Boy that was a fun day... I was sitting in the Endzone right near the big group of ISU fans. Will never forget after the game the team coming to the corner of the end zone singing the fight song. I think it was Ellis Hobbs walking through the stands in full pads after the game.

Man it made that Saturday night a whole lot better when we went out. Although, my K-State friends I was with didn't feel like celebrating... Wierd huh.

Because KSU played Auburn in their 2007 opener. So this was posted 63 days before that game by a KSU fan. KSU played pretty well, but Quentin Groves (did Rhoads coach him?) took over the game in the second half, getting to Freeman at will. A fumble recovery for a TD late in the 4th quarter sealed the game for the Tigers.

I don't think our safeties were horrible last year, they just didn't have a chance because our front 7 were just not good.
