Re: 2009 Two Deeps
Defense is still waaayyyy behind where it needs to be. Hard to breakdown a specific position that is the weakest, because they are all significantly lacking compared to other defenses in the top 8 of the Big 12.

Re: 2009 Two Deeps
If Haughton doesn't make it back... we're in DEEP trouble.
Our O-line is already one of our weakest positions... even with Haughton. Without him... I don't want to even think about it. I really fear for Arnaud's blind side.
But we are ISU... so I'm sure he's probably gone. We don't get good news in Ames.

Re: 2009 Two Deeps
I believe that the production of the lines will make or break us this season. If the O and D lines can produce, or at least stay somewhat competitive, we definitely have a shot at a bowl game.

Re: 2009 Two Deeps
HCPR sounded pretty confident about Haughton returning in the fall.

Re: 2009 Two Deeps
Parker had 1 sack last season that came in the last game of the year. No offense to Parker, but he is not the answer at DE. How Lyle didn't start over Parker last season is a mystery.

Hopefully this will help not only Parker, but also the rest of our DL.

Re: 2009 Two Deeps
Haughton is still on the team. No need to worry guys
I think the position that is the most open is WR. We have so many guys coming in the spring that could play. Bellamy, Reynolds, and maybe one of the freshmen. I wouldn't be surprised at anything I see depth chart wise at that position

Our D-Line doesnt have me too excited....
