After the spring game, what are everyones thoughts on the two-deeps going into this season? Feel free to include any of the Jucos or incoming freshman as well.

Do you think Maggitt has outplayed Parker? Are you basing this on the srping game, or something else?

Maggit looked good at the Spring game. He was the one on the line that stood out to me.

Its more based on the past three seasons of Parker than the spring game with Maggitt.

I'm really glad that Bell is going to see time at safety. He and Sims are going to be big upgrades I think. I just feel good about that duo.

Pretty good analysis. I'm impressed.

The question is, how big of a drop off is there between No. 1 and No. 2 at those positions? What's your assesment?

Honestly, I dont know about the D-line. frere will be good, but the other positions are still in question.

D-Tackle. 1. Frere, and 2. will still be undecided, I seee johnson, alburtis, and rump spliting a lot of time at the beginning of the season until one of them takes over.

D end. Maggit- don't know much about him. Parker - Does a decent job with run defense and pass rush. Lyle - does a terrible job at run D, and a pretty good job at pass rush.

If Maggit is playing as well as was said, I actually see parker and him starting at the ends, Unless lyle has improved tremendously at his run defense.

I highly doubt Haughton is starting at Left Tackle next year. From people Ive heard from he is done at ISU. He had grade issues and finally got sick of it and quit. Just what I heard, take it for what its worth.

I like Parker, but I don't think he can play DE in the Big 12. Last year in 12 starts he had 21 tackles and 1 sack which also was his only tackle for loss. Lyle had 38 tackles, 8 for loss, and 5 sacks all while not starting.

If Maggitt can rush the passer I hope he and Lyle start, but if Parker ends up being the guy I hope he lights it up.

I think there is a bigger drop off in terms of 1's and 2's on the defense. This might be why the 1st team Defense won the spring game and Tiller put on a show.

If Haughton doesn't come back it will be a huge blow. In my mind we've got 3 guys who are going to start somewhere in Lamaak, Stephens, and KO. If Haughton comes back there is four for sure guys. Being that he is young and a left tackle also makes it suck if he's done here.
