Hoch would be GREAT if we could someone come out of nowhere and get him. The last report was pretty promising for us but I would still be surprised if we got him

I believe it shoudl say 2010 recruits.

Re: 09 Recruits
Kohler and Sherreff are the must gets. There's a kid from Palmdale, CA that likes Iowa State alot and looks like he would be a great pickup.

All right, now in English, please? And with punctuation? Thanks.

Re: 09 Recruits
I would never say that anyone is a 'must get', but I would love to get Kohler and Scherff for the in-state aspect, and Hoch would also be nice.
As far as needs, we need a good LB, OL, and DL class. A couple of stud safeties wouldn't hurt, as well as a good DB to take Bank's place.

Re: 09 Recruits
people who are fast would be nice

Re: 09 Recruits
Yeah, I don't think that anyone is a "must get". If you want to compete in-state, getting a guy like Kohler is pretty important. ISU has a shot at Scherff and Hoch, but it will be a tough battle. Position wise, I think that it is a very important class for OL, DE, DT and LB.

Re: 09 Recruits
Kohler - ISU
Scherff - Iowa
Hoch - Mizzou
That's the way I see it playing out..

I know at one point that he said that he was favoring Iowa, but that was before he took is trips to NU and ISU.

I know at one point that he said that he was favoring Iowa, but that was before he took is trips to NU and ISU. He grew up a Cyclone fan but put Iowa in the lead after his visit. That says a lot to me.
(And before everyone piles on, I know he said Iowa, ISU and Nebraska are all tied now.)
I see big things for the Hawks this year, both on the field and in recruiting. I think a strong recruiting class, a 8-4/9-3 season and the possibility of early PT on the DLine will swing Scherff towards Iowa.

I guess that just says to me that it was his first visit and kids are normally pretty excited after they have been treated like kings for the weekend.
As you stated, he listed Iowa, ISU, and NU all even after taking visits to all 3.
I am not going to say he is coming to ISU, but it may be fun to watch how it unfolds.
