Nice article. I think the Quad City Times give ISU some good press, especially when you consider they are sandwiched between Hawkeye and Illini fan bases.
This is an anomaly... either sports editor Don Doxie had the day off or it was a slow news day (what, no arrests!?!?!?) in Iowa City because the Times SELDOM shows us any love.
Attended this event. Rhoads seems like a personable guy, unlike his predecessor. Pomlee's filled out and will be taking up some significant space under the hoop. The Litchenberg kid (o-lineman from Bettendorf) appears thin but his dad says he's up to 250 ... he'll benefit from a red shirt year.
Even "won" a pair of tickets to an ISU soccer game (or do you call it a match?) but gave 'em back. When they asked if I had a conflict that day I replied "yeah ... gotta stay home and watch the grass grow." I figured I'd let someone who suffers from insomnia have the tickets.
