And I definitely don't believe that he was getting Gus Malzahn to leave the south for ISU. Ultimately I don't care who he could have gotten, as a head coach (even a first time one), if you are firing both coordinators after your 2nd year, YOU ARE IN OVER YOUR HEAD! There is no other way to look at it.

Guess you skipped right over Majors winning a national championship at Pitt, before leaving for his alma mater, Tenn.

And sadly, even if/when ISU does finally see some success, not many people outside of the ISU family are going to care one way or the other -- unless that success is BCS-level epic, like Boise State or Utah.
Let's say the Cyclones win the Cotton Bowl in a couple years -- most football fans around the country will say, "Oh, how cute, ISU won a bowl game."

Not a lot of real legitimate reasons why he put those teams on the list and why they are ranked accordingly. Granted none of them were successful last year, but that doesn't always reflect the next season.
Yeah, just curious where you would put us Jon, 9th or 10th, your confidence is overwhelming. If we had a schedule with those 9 teams, I'm pretty sure we would be 9-0, IMO. None of those teams play in any conference remotely close to the Big 12. I guess that Washington has to play USC every year.
Not a lot of real facts

Two favorite teams, the Cyclones, and whoever is playing the Hawkeyes! -

Kansas got all kinds of pub when they had a major breakthrough year and they still get some pretty good love from the national press.
