Favorite Tailgating Meal Ideas
Discussing eggbakes in another thread got me thinking about the plethora of tailgating food ideas. I am practically salivating over the upcoming tailgating season, albeit 3 months away. Sooooo........
What are your favorite tailgating menu options for early and late tailgates. Feel free to share recipes as well.

Anything involving a grill and meat.

Re: Favorite Tailgating Meal Ideas
Last year I smoked a pork butt/shoulder and used it at 2 tailgates. It really easy to re-heat in a foil pan on a grill. Just need some packs of buns and some bbq sauce. It was really really easy.

If we were there early AM - breakfast burritos were a must.
Now I'm old and lazy and simply hit McDonalds on the way into town.

We still grill - usually simple brats or burgers. In the past I've put on steaks. Best was a few years back I had a bunch or marinated turkey breast we grilled up. That was awesome.
One time we also ordered over a bunch of Great Plains - just to go simple once.

Brats. I don't get them enough, so I gotta have one when they're available.

Re: Favorite Tailgating Meal Ideas
My two favorites:
-make breakfast burritos the night before - brown sausage, jalapenos, onions, scrambled eggs, cheese. wrap them up in foil. Next morning just throw them on the grill for 10 minutes to warm them up and melt the cheese. Glorious.
-Dry-rub some chicken wings, grill. Prepare your hot sauce seperately (I just use butter and cookies wings-n-things). Combine it all in a crock pot (if you have power) and let them hang out for an hour. They won't last long!

Re: Favorite Tailgating Meal Ideas
I tell you what, Mizouse, all you need for some breakfast goodness is a grill and a little tin foil to cover it with, then toss on some eggs...what could go wrong?!?!? Nothing I say. If that fails you could always just fall back on downing the eggs Rocky-style.

Early in the year, corn is still ripe! Nothing like a diet of corn and beer to make for an exciting 4th Q!
