Id say yay but be careful when using Money and Percy in the same sentence, Money is good, but Percy is an animal! The two of them went head to head in a VA state semi-final nail bitter that literally came down to the last play of the game! Posted via Mobile Device
Good points Governor, and I would add the performance of the skill guys will depend on the improvement from the Oline.
Agreed. The O-Line is a catalyst for the offensive production on any team. It's been said here before, that a great O-Line can make an above average skill position player look outstanding. Doesn't work so well the other way around.
Believe me, no Iowa fan wants ISU to do good outside the Iowa game than me. Some of my best friends are ISU fans and get pretty unbearable when things aren't so good. They are always in the mood to drink though, so that's a plus
I honestly can't believe how much depth this team has on offense. This is easily the best receiving corps (Catlett and Franklin included) that ISU has ever had. Joshua Bellamy may end up being the biggest surprise this fall--very UNDER used last year as a Juco. I've been drinkin already but ISU's receiving corps has to be one of the top ones in the Big 12-I don't care what Athlon, Lindy's, etc. say.
This seems to be a repeating theme since we ran out of 1,000 yard rushers. Every year our receiving corps get pumped up by at least a small portion of the fan base as underrated when they are really poised to be one of the top units. I think about 9 teams in the Big 12 probably have the same depth and talent (and in some cases better) at WR as we do. Can ours be effective? Sure, but I wouldn't put them up in the top. I wouldn't put any of our units in the top of the league (although if pressured I would give it to the special teams just based on everybody returning from a solid unit last season sans punt returns). Just being realistic based on what has been shown thus far.
