Now i do want to point out that the story was who will be a story in September.....AA could rise or fall after september as our schedule hits the big 12, but outside of a few big 12 fans and ISU fans, how many people have heard of AA - nobody!!!!
In a rivalry game you can throw the rankings out the window. Recent history shows a much clearer picture. 7 of the last 11 have gone to the Cyclones. It's that old blind draw....
Team A beats Team B 7 out of previous 11 games. Team A wins the 12th meeting. Is this an upset?
When you take the team names out of the equation it sure doesn't look like an upset.
Bottom line is on those 11 Saturdays, ISU was the better team 7 times. That says to me that an ISU win certainly isn't an upset.

Yup, this is it.

I'm trying to remember what the thread was about, think end of last week.
He said something to the effect of not caring about the audience's opinion on him - which I would think is dangerous in such a small market. If you keep telling people you don't care what they think they'll tune out.

Yesterday, Shocking! thread (before it got lost in the depths of derailment).

The question was framed as who would come out of nowhere and be the talk of college football. He couldn't pick a Hawkeye because in the mind of a Hawk fan, their third string place holder is well known across the country already.

Or Team B beats Team A 19 out of 26 times then Team A wins the 27th meeting, is it an upset?

It boils down to this.....
Which results are more relevant....
The 80's?
The 90's?
The 00's?
The last decade says that an Iowa State win over Iowa is a pretty normal occurence.

All your posturing is pointless. Everyone knows that only the last hexade is the most important. Just ask Southern.

Jesus, get over yourself. Your QB, who is very good, got some good publicity for himself and for your FB program. WTF is so bad about that? Don't be such an angry little narcissist.

That's almost word for word how I would have typed it. He is certainly a Hawk fan boy, but that's no different than us being CycloneFanatics. Beyond his love for the Hawks, he's always been fair to the Clones and I have no problem calling him a friend.
