Unfortunately, I also think Chiz will do well at Auburn and will get the last laugh.

I give Chizdick 2 to 3 years before he is sent packing. Rumors are already swirling around the Auburn program regarding an assistant coach that Chizdick fired when he arrived and then strangely hired back as he was previously recruiting one of the most prized running backs in the nation. Then out of the blue the coach quits and gets hired by Nick Saban at Alabama. That prized running back is now going to Alabama rumor has it that his mother was quite a bit upset at the "offer" that Auburn was giving him. When this scandal boils over look out cause Auburn will be heading straight for probation and the fall guy is going to be Chizdick just like former Auburn coach Tommy Bowden was. Hopefully the fallout will end his coaching career.

Won't happen. The NCAA feels like it needs the state of Alabama to be at full strength. Putting Auburn and Alabama on probation is unlikely.

It's been done before and if the accounts of the situation down there are true then it will happen again.

True, it just seems lately that to place a 'Bama or Auburn under serious penalties, the crime would have to be severe. Look at USC. Maybe it was. I bet they get a couple scholarships removed, but to a program like that, that is not very much.

True.... with the exception being Auburn. Their only prayer with Chizdick at the helm is that they have enough superior talent to overcome his inability to coach football, develop schemes that work, make adjustments, and develop players.... IF they can overcome that then they have a shot. I think the the Big XII coaches did a great job of exposing just how poor of a gameday coach Chizdick was and the coaches in the SEC all have to be marking the Auburn game this year down as a total lock for a W.

I think a few people are still holding onto a bit of a grudge and are also underestimating Chizik. I'm not pro Chizik but I certainly don't think he's going fall flat on his face at Auburn. He can definitely recruit, as we all saw in his short stint here. Combine that with his assistant coaches' abilities and I think you got the making for not only good recruiting classes but also a decently coached football team. Might I remind you that THE biggest mistake he made while here, which ultimately led to our downfall IMO, was the hiring of his assistant coaches. Compare the assistants he brought in to ISU to the coaches he now has at Auburn. The comparison is night and day. I predict Chizik will succeed at Auburn, much to my dismay.

I don't argue that Chizzzzzz can recruit, but then again, I do question it a little. I think we did see some flashes of good recruiting, but then again, the services kept ranking us at or below the classes before. I attribute part of that to being ISU, but maybe they aren't 100% biased...

I'd hardly say anybody is infatuated with Chizik, but it is getting a little old.
