Chizik up to his old tricks...........

It appears that Eugene is up to his old tricks. He has called play #1 from the scripted Chizdick playbook where he fills the fans heads with his pipe dreams and it appears that once again they have bought it. Auburn fans are in for a REALLY hard fall now that they and the media have bought into his act.

I believe he will do well there. He has a favorable schedule, the best asst. coaches money can buy, and pretty strong returning talent. We paid for his education, but it appears he is doing the right things. I really don't care how he does. I want Iowa State to prosper.

Have the recruits ask what kind of game day coach he is. Cheeznip puts on a good recruiting show, but then the schemes on the field does not match the talk. His version of the Tampa Two Step went backwards for us. We could not blitz for shinola. He did not appear to be overly friendly to his players. And he is great at 90 second speeches. Chrome on the outside, and plastic on the inside which matches his limos. Yep, Auburn, he is all yours.

Yeah, that's why they were all so upset when he decided to leave. Speaking of shinola.

When is this obsession with some former coach named Chizik going to end? He's really not worthy of it, you know.

We got a new Marshall here in town, and his name's Paul Rhoads, and the times, they is a'changin'.

Agreed. I don't think we've heard half the chatter about our current coach, than we have about our last who left us high and dry.

We've gotten worse 3 consecutive years and we need a useful outlet for venting right now. When our team shows improvement on the field, we will forget about what's his name.

Probably bcause he was overhyped as the Savior and did a lousier job than almost any coach would have done. If you could not do better than that in non conf, you did not do very well.

The last one over promised and under delivered. You probably notice more about Gene talk becaise it is about limos and going after big names than it is about plain get the local bouys, make the contacts, and get your act together. One is about Glam and sunglasses, the new one is a Head Coach and about doing it the old fashioned way.

Gene aka Ollie made a fine mess at Iowa State for two years. The talent is better than it showed. Those close losses are IMO opinion tagged more to the coaching staff than the players. You remember the cloe but no cigar games in the last two years. It was a ill managed/coaches team when you compared the play to the opponent. Poor playcalling, poor blitzing, inability to score in red zone, etc to me was more the coaching staff made poor decisions that led to more losses than we should have incurred. Kent State, Toledo, UNI, UNLVC, KU, even the second Iowa loss in the MUD Bowl. We had many chances to win and we whiffed them away. PR will fix that in his first year, not in his fifth. Gene needs to let his assistants run the Auburn gameplan so he has someone to blame.

I started this thread quite simply because I found it quite humorous. Chizdick it a total ****** and it sounds like his recruiting tactics are heading straight down the path towards major recruiting violations. Rolling up with his entourage of limos covered in Auburn logos is his way of selling their program? What a joke. I think he is trying to over compensate for his total lack of gameday coaching skills by trying to fool the "bling bling" generation of players into buying that he is a money coach and that the Auburn program is a money program.

I also found it interesting that the ESPN writer was giving him all kinds of props for recruiting in such an innovative way that it is surfacing that Auburn and the Chizdick have already possibly committed recruiting violations. Then again when it comes to the SEC it sure appears like ESPN and the NCAA give them a free pass time and time again.
