If ISU could schedule a home and home...
with any team in the nation, which teams would you fans most want them to play?
For me, as an Iowa fan, my top 3 for Iowa to play would be:
1. Nebraska (Promote midwest rivalry)
2. Notre Dame (I just hate ND)
3. Miami (for recruiting purposes)
Iowa has scheduled home and homes with NU, ND, and Miami in the past, so I'd like to see one of them renewed.
What would ISU fans like to see? Personally, I posted this in another thread, but I'd like to see ISU/Minny start up an annual game and Iowa/Nebraska start up and annual game to coincide with the Iowa/ISU game. I'm a big fan of midwestern games. So my #1 for ISU would be Minny, what say you, cyclonefanatics?

Illinois. It is regional and would be of personal interest to me.

Definitely Minnesota. Ames is 2 1/2 hours from Minneapolis (on a good day) and I can see more Cyclone Fans heading to Minneapolis for a football or bball game than Kansas City.

We had Illinois State out here a few years ago (ISU vs ISU, Cyclones vs Red Birds) Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State, and may her colors ever fly!!! In Accordance with Prophecy -

Re: If ISU could schedule a home and home...
do you think a team like TCU (good team from far south) would ever play ISU/Iowa as the last game of the season?

Re: If ISU could schedule a home and home...
How about Maryland, Navy, Viriginia Tech or Penn State? Soley on the basis of them being relatively close to home for me
(yeah, we're playing in Annapolis in like 8 years I know)
Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State, and may her colors ever fly!!! In Accordance with Prophecy -

Maybe when the Gophers played in the dome, but probably not now. Even Iowa fans are going to have a tough time getting tickets at the Gophers new building. The days of 20,000 Iowa fans watching Iowa pound the Gophers in Minneapolis are over.

Not sure why, but I'm not a believer in playing two teams from the same conference for your non-conference games in football. Since we always play Iowa, I would rather avoid a Big 10 team and get someone from the Big East, ACC or SEC and make it a destination game, kind of like UNLV was, but just a bigger opponent.
41-51 Record in CF Mafia. The most games played and wins by any player in Cyclone Fanatic History. Yes, I'm a nerd. -

Southern teams don't go north past September....they tend not to like 30 degree weather. If someone has an example of this happening, I'd love to see it, but I don't think it happens.

I think there would be a pretty big demand for that game. I can see Minnesota fans selling their tickets for that game.

Given that I work as a civilian for the Navy, that'll actually be a tough game for me if any of my co-workers or boss go to that Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State, and may her colors ever fly!!! In Accordance with Prophecy
