Hoch has been a joy to watch since his first game as a sophomore. He has a motor, like Berrymans. He has a nice frame, genetics and has great academics. I have been watching high school football for a long time, Harlan has only had 2 or 3 that compare to this guy in the way they play. (Wegner & Wilwerding) D lineman stand out more than lets say an O lineman . I have seen 3-4 star O linemen just plain suck when they get to college because they are stronger and bigger when in high school. 3-4 star d linemen are usually the real deal.

    Re: Matt Hoch

Our last coach didn't do us any favors ignoring much recruiting here in Iowa. Paul Rhoads has to rebuild some bridges with Iowa high schools and that's simply going to take some time.

Rhoads already has assistant coaches asking all the iowa high school coaches if they have any potential D1 players. They asked our coach and several others.
