Coach Rhoads contract signed

Re: Coach Rhoads contract signed
Isn't too crazy.
Billy G at Kentucky never signed his contract which is why he's suing them. He wants to get the buyout he would've received.

Re: Coach Rhoads contract signed
Interesting, I guess I thought you had to have the contract in house before a lot of the "real" stuff could start.
Decent contract. I love the incentive for $100,000 per win over 7.

Re: Coach Rhoads contract signed
Not trying to draw any comparisons but I believe KF was at Iowa almost 2 years before he signed his contract. I don't think this is uncommon. After an AD hire a coach and then agents and lawyers get involved. That's what takes time.

Decent contract. I love the incentive for $100,000 per win over 7. I certainly hope at some point we have to start paying a couple hundred thousand a year for his services. -
Re: Coach Rhoads contract signed
Call me crazy, I may not be remembering this correctly, but I thought we had a deal (not signed, of course) for 1.2 million. Was there something about that which included the salary package for the assistant coaches...I wouldn't think so. Just curious on how things are reported one way, and finalized another. -

Is the 1.2 the average per year of the contract?
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone. -

I'm just a little surprised that his contract wasn't signed yet. Without that, how has ISU been paying him since he came aboard?

Just by looking at the signatures, would you be able to name the president of the university? -

Re: Coach Rhoads contract signed
Here is what took so long, they must have been waiting on approval from the Ames country club so ISU could contractually agree to Section II (Compensation), paragraph 5 "In addition, the University shall pay Rhoads' initation, annual membership dues, less minimum food and beverage requirements, to the Ames Country Club" Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State, and may her colors ever fly!!! In Accordance with Prophecy -

It took some time, but they finally agreed to pay minimum monthly club charges. Power to the people.
