realignment of conferences

You'd never see Texas and Texas A&M not be in the same conference. They are separated by less distance than Iowa and Iowa State and are without a doubt the biggest rivalry within the state of Texas.

the reason i thought up of this was that I feel for all the mid major teams that complain about being mistreated by the BCS. Under this, it wouldn't happen because all conferences would be BCS conferences. This would get rid of the BCS Championship game and use the Cotton Bowl as the 5th BCS bowl. Also, the schedule goes like this. You play the 5 teams from the divisions, 3 teams that are from the same league but not same division, and 4 teams from outside the league.

I also think the Iowa and Iowa State rivalry would heat up as they would now be in the same division of the same league.

I like it. I think you would have to realign some of them, but overall your giving everyone a fair shot.

Its just not realistic thinking to create this.

If some sort of re-alignment thread is to be made, id rather it be more along the lines of taking the top tier "mid-majors" and figuring ways to stick them in the major conferences. Also some of the small schools have stadiums that house only 25,000 people. Another reason this thread is ludacris. OSU could still gather that crowd by playing its 3rd stringers in a home game

so after reading this, which conference would have the most parity and which would have the least? I would say the SCC might have the least, but the MWC might have the most.
