Beyer Hall (Swimming) was new? my first year-1964. (Building to north.)Freshman were required to pass 100 meter or take mandatory quarter swimming.

Prior to my fall enrollment, I was required to take a multi day summer orientation. I stayed in what was then a women's dorm (name?) on the corner NW of the stadium. Rooms were doubles with common bath in between. Probably the first time I had stayed overnite away from home.......

Do you all know that was Goedjen's only miss in his 4-year career! He was a great kicker, but missed the extra point that would have beaten the National Champs (from previous year). How bad is ISU's luck?

I'm pretty sure in those days freshmen weren't eligible to play, so he really had only 3 years. But your point is still valid, with only one miss for his 3 year career.
