Hi, I'm an online radio personality here in Des Moines. I know nothing about Des Moines or the Cyclones. What do you want to here? Tell me and I'll ask.

Why didn't KXNO just hire someone with knowledge of ISU and what ISU fans want to hear?

It really speaks to the horrendous levels that DM radio has sunk to.

Kenny is great, though. He has a brain and can think for himself. I don't always agree with him but he makes a point and backs it up.

Matt...not so much.

Matt--will you be paying Cyclonefanatic members a portion of your salary while they do your job?

So the guy gives up more Big 12 media coverage than we have ever had on KXNO, can talk the conference better than anyone KXNO has had, has great contacts inside the conference, he is working hard at learning the ISU culture and yet you still rip on him. Who are they going to hire? Deace is on in the AM, and like it or not knows ISU better than anyone else on the radio. Matt has the background in sports talk radio, knows some about ISU, and is willing to learn. I guess we can go back to listening to Karen Kay talk, Hawktalk, and some big mouth I want to ripp on everyone talk. If that isnt what you want you could listen to a couple guys talking about farting and telling drinking stories.

Deace and Matt do a good job of being neutral. My only complaint is that it would be nice to have an ISU homer on the station to balance the Big 10/Iowa lean of Miller.

Deace does a good job at it and it helps that he is on with Jon. Nothing beats Deace ripping on Jon and the Hawks.

It's just a fair representation of how we all are. Cyclone fans are able to realize when they screw something up royally, while Hawk fans are unable to admit they have ever done anything wrong.

Deace is good, but he is a Big 10 guy and only appears to be an ISU guy when measured against Miller. I think Jon is good at his job...just too much of a Hawk fan to not have a Cyclone fan paired with him.

Couldn't agree more. Matt just isn't compelling to listen to- no depth, no warmth, and no humor. And no talent.

Wow. Ok - I apologize for asking what Cyclone Fans are interested to learn from the people they love to watch. If you listened to the interview - I think I asked 1 question from this board. I thought it might be nice for you guys to have a chance to get your questions asked if there was time with Coach or the players.

We will do our entire show from ISU Media on Wednesday. I'll be sure to ask my own questions so I'm not considered "lazy" or "not doing my job". Thanks.

Most of us appreciate the interviews Matt and I think you guys do a nice job (see my previous post)......it's tough for me to get much Cyclone news up in Minneapolis, so I appreciate stuff like this and the opportunity to give input.

I streamed quite a bit of the show when I was down in Tampa or listened to the podcasts at night. If people need to remember what KXNO was like before tirade, turn 1700 on and you will be pretty satisfied with KXNO.
