McCarney's last year was horrible, and the year before that wasn't much better. The program was going no where fast, and it appeared McCarney was not going to make any changes to his staff. Recruiting had fallen off tremendously. And yet it appears you wanted more of the same, is that correct?
Auburn hires a coach away from ISU. How is this Pollard's fault?
Which brings us to Rhoads. This was a great hire. Too bad it couldn't have been two years ago. But Rhoads may not have wanted the job then. Instead, he hired someone who nobody in the world thought ISU could get.
I may not agree with everything Pollard has done, but you seem to have taken it to a personal level.

What shook me up concerning Jamie was the fact that he offered a contract extension to Chizik at the end of last season, in spite of the last two years, and considering the players now coming out critical about the Chizik regime. Huh??????

Re: Iowa St Media Day - KXnO's coverage
So.... how long does it take to get these media day podcasts up on KXNO.com?
The only one that interests me enough to listen to this morning is Miller and Deace's conversation about ISU football... and that one kind of scares me.

What are looking for exactly? We need to put up both the Iowa St and Iowa media day sounds...Big 12 is up already

Re: Iowa St Media Day - KXnO's coverage
I was just looking for the ISU media day interviews. I heard most of Tiller, and the entire PR conference when you replayed them on the show on Wednesday, but I missed Arnaud and anyone else you may have had before that. I would like to have a podcast of PR's speech so I can listen to it again anyways.

I think as an AD you have to listen to what players are telling you when you are making decisions, but you can't make it look like you are cowtowing them, either. Maybe none of the players went to Pollard about their concerns, I don't know, but you do bring up a very valid point.
Oh well, Auburn did ISU a favor by hiring Chiz. I look forward to the Paul Rhoads era at ISU.

I guess if you guys can hold out a couple more weeks, the season will start and no one will care. Or maybe I'm the only one that even cares now.

Huh?????? It's customary to give a returning coach an extension so he can recruit effectively whether he deserves it or not.
Doesn't mean he wouldn't have gotten canned in a couple of years anyway if he wasn't producing.

Fortunately, Chizik offered a substantial talent infusion before he left--for which we should all be grateful. Not for much more, but for that.

Sorry, I was home for my grandfather's funeral. I will see what I can do now that I'm back.
