Shirts for Army game
There are ramblings on another thread about this, but I wanted to give it it's own thread. I suggest using the shirt that is linked below and because of copyrights, we can't use the logo. We must use text or something else that the school doesn't own. What are your suggestions? T-Shirt - ACU Pattern (Long Sleeve) | Ranger Joe's | Military and Law Enforcement Gear | ACU's, BDU's, army boots, rank, and custom name tapes -

If we get them printed through an ISU-approved vendor (which is basically all of them), then they have permission to use any of the ISU trademarks. That means we could use the logos, the word "Cyclones" or "ISU" or whatever else.
I was thinking maybe alliteration would be good for text. Something like "Cyclone Corps" or "Cyclone Company". Just off the top of my head.

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

Re: Shirts for Army game
How about just CYCORPS or something. Keep it simple.

Re: Shirts for Army game
What are people's opinions of the shirt that I linked? Yes? No? Other suggestions? Also, someone is going to have to get this moving as far as getting names of people here, getting a shop lined up and getting money collected. It should be someone that lives in Ames that has experience with this stuff.

It should be someone that lives in Ames that has experience with this stuff. I work with the Ames screenprinters ALL the time, so I've got plenty of experience with that. However, that same experience also leads me to refuse to collect money. I'd be happy to work with the screenprinters if need be, but I will absolutely not be in charge of collecting money. Someone else can do that.
Even with a one-color screen (which I doubt we could get away with on an ACU shirt), we would need at least 30 orders to make the price worth it. We'd obviously also have to actually purchase the shirts, get them delivered, and take them to the screenprinters before they can do their work.
As for the shirt, I'd rather go with the short-sleeved shirt. It's $3.00 cheaper. The Army game is in September, so it's not going to be cold enough to warrant a long-sleeved shirt. If people who want to order a shirt are going to be cold, they can easily layer a long-sleeved shirt underneath this t-shirt. (Go with Cyclone colors, or you can do white if you feel cardinal or gold would clash.) That way everyone can wear it to suit their personal warmth level, and it keeps costs down. Believe me, this opinion is borne out of making (and wearing) a lot of long-sleeved shirts!

Re: Shirts for Army game
Honestly, the best recommendation I would suggest is the following. Contact Jeremy about offering these through the CF store. It can become an investment for him, a way for everyone to "donate" to a site they all enjoy, and then no one is left with such and undertaking on their own unless they really feel up to it. I know I would feel uncomfortable ordering 100+ shirts without any financial backing or deposits from so called users who are "interested" in such a thing.

We will need someone to take the money so that no one can back out at the last minute, throwing everything off.
