Ok, so we have two mysteries going on here. Are we talking about players impacting this season or next? Any chance we'll know the origins of the deleted thread in the near future? Timeframe?

who cares so far im not impressed with this coaching staffs recruiting.

I you don't like the 2010 class so far, you can thank Mr. 5-19 for that one. A 2-10 record in 2008 and a new coach for 2009, yeah, that just screams "team that top talent wants to play for."

Personally, I think bringing in guys like Lattimer, Taufoou, and Sims, guys that can fill holes right away, is a heck of a recruiting job.

These are two seperate cases we're talking about. The mystery recruit is the 6th recruit for the 2010 season. The deleted thread pertains to a completely different subject.

Who cares? If you don't care who ISU recruits and about this particular recruit than why the heck are you wasting time posting in this thread?

gannon... 8th best player in iowa .. only other offer UNI home town didnt even offer... great.... so lets offer him..

barnett good pick up if we were in need of a qb... so we wont get to see this kid for another 3 years when he arrives on campus... sad but true.

Hate to break it to ya, but if you think it is sad that we won't see a QB recruit play for ISU for 3 years, you know absoutely nothing about Divison 1 FB and the progression of QB recruits. In reality, you don't want QB recruits to have to play right away when them step on campus, or you are in trouble.

UNI has put more linemen in the NFL the last few years than we have. So I wouldn't scoff at their talent analysis...

hubert may be a tackling machine,but his 40 time is what an offensive lineman runs and several offensive lineen can beat his 40 time-maybe he has a junkyard dog attitude on the football field and loves to kick butt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you think he will redshirt? He has been practicing with the DE's at 205 lbs...maybe a year with Yancy is needed?

He is fast but not ready for DE this year. He could be a speed rusher in obvious passing situations. Hopefully we have a lot of them this year.

Considering we have been the laughing stock of college football the last two years I'm not upset at all with the progress of this class. That's a downright terrible outlook on what's happening with recruiting.

I wonder, are you just trying to illustrate the depth of your ignorance? Sandvig did not "start all of last year"...
