After all, there was another kid from Palmdale who had ISU interest--until everyone found out about him. Then his recruiting just blew up. It makes me wonder if the Rivals guess is wrong, and he is some no-name in the middle-of-no-where.
Also, CSR mentioned both the ISU coaches and the high school coach wanted to keep it quiet. I do not see why the player's side would want to keep it on the DL, unless there would be some sort of local backlash if it got out.

So we know it's a guy! I bet you wish you wouldn't have let that slip out.

Re: Mystery Recruit?
long shot but im hoping its a wr from mizzou
Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative. ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." -

Re: Mystery Recruit?
There is going to be a lot of unhappy people when they find out who it is, based on stars alone.
This kid must be a big time sleeper if our coaches are being this quiet.

kirby... 10th best player in iowa must be AMAZING.
gannon... 8th best player in iowa .. only other offer UNI home town didnt even offer... great.... so lets offer him..
givens know nothing about... accept we were his only offer yay!
young i will give him a shot.
barnett good pick up if we were in need of a qb... so we wont get to see this kid for another 3 years when he arrives on campus... sad but true. You obviously have seen all these guys play, done analysis and come to the conclusions that you have that none of them are or ever will be any good. And you obviously have as much or more experience than any of the coaches on the football staff. So the question is, why aren't you coaching D1 football somewhere instead of hoarding your immense knowledge and only letting it out in a poor writing style on an internet message board? The world needs more guys like you to stand up and take charge!

The quote above is just rehetoric. We have never gotten the players that Scout and Rivals rate highly, with a few minor exceptions. If, of course, you call SJ and AA "minor".
And the real difference about those four and five star guys--is simply that everyone knows about them. Our staff has always had to look harder for the same talent.
