    Re: Football Scrimmage

I'm assuming that the depth chart changes Herman discussed in the video were at RB due to Blankenship's performance, but he sure didn't sound happy about the picks and QB play.

Or could be Money Reynolds at WR too.

I hope Darius continues to impress. It's such a strange situation to follow in that he's supposedly such a talented kid that got little interest from other schools, but we all fall in love because we've been blessed to have such a personal relationship with his brother on this site. Reports from the summer were that he's a very good athlete but not ready to play WR at this level. If he comes in and contributes from day 1, I'll be happy as heck and have to eat a little crow in that I've always tried to temper my expecatations for what he'll do while in Ames.

Technically...no. We were all given a piece of paper that said, "Dont tell no one nothin".

In short: a few bad passes, a few tipped passes.

There were a whole lot of guys who either didnt practice today, or didnt practice a whole lot.

    #11 is really fast.
    #21 FG kicker is good.
    #2 & #23 are really good.
    #5 & # 42 looked good.

I hope I'm not too far off the subject here, but in any of our practices and especially our 1st game, I just don't want to show EIU too much. With this "no huddle off." I really don't want them to be able to prepare for anything.

OK, thanks for what you did say. That just seemed like an awfully lot of TOs for a scrimmage and Herman did not sound pleased in the video.

I don't think that should be surprising when you're installing a totally new offensive style. It may take a whole season before the players totally "get it".

Both picks that I saw had more to do with DB's (LJ and Banks) jumping routes than bad passes.

*Edit* I guess Schmigdall also had a pick on a pass that was thrown pretty much right to him. He seemed very active out there...

Who cares what we show Iowa. I want a first game win and to be impressed with the team. Being impressed after the first game isnt something that has happened going on 4 years now.

I would also like to see a good, solid first game win, we need to come out and throttle our first opponent.
