paul rhodes already better than danny mac??!!

a co-worker of mine (huge cyclone fan and alum) and i were goin back and fourth today and he made a comment that cpr is right now a better head coach than dan mac ever was, i have always been a mac fan and think what he did for isu was great, so i was just wondering if the whole fanbase feels this way or my co-worker is just a nutball?

CPR is undefeated. Dan isn't.

In all honesty, I think CPR comes across as more of a coach than Dan did. Dan did his best to sugarcoat things and use the hell out of the spin machine. CPR just kinda tells how it is. CPR has arguably as good of a staff as any of McCarney's, however, strictly coaching, we don't know yet.

i wasnt tryin to start anything i just thought since i am a hawkeye fan i was supposed to post here. on the topic i just couldnt believe i heard that from an isu fan after what he accomplished for you guys, as i said i am a mac fan and always hated facing him.

Right. We should at least go ahead and make some bisonburgers before starting into this one. Maybe even get a couple of seasons under CPR's belt first.

thats what i thought, i just dont know how someone can make that comment before the season ever starts, i also like cpr but you just cant say that yet.

I agree, but Dan could get a team fired up like no other, I think some forget that and forget how huge that was in some games.

He also knew some amazing way to help us find ways to win games we had no business losing. He knew how to occasionally fire them up, but when it came down to some defining games, we just couldn't find a way to get it done.

I loved Mac but was one who agreed it was time for him to go. That said, CPR hasn't won a game yet, and hasn't been to or won a bowl game yet. Even though we've been bad for a few years now, its still not even close to the rebuilding job that Mac inherited.

So, the obvious answer is that CPR's grade is incomplete. I would be shocked if he doesn't succeed here. But Mac has to get the nod, if I have to vote right now this minute.
