Agree! My initial impression of Burnham is extremely positive. I'd like to have a beer with him.
If the defense is banged up, then no wonder they struggled. We really can't afford any injuries on that side of the ball.

welp it looks like wbfaceofisu4022 doesnt need anyone else to back him up when i got walley talking about how concerned he is with the defense. only going to install 3/4 of his defense... that right there just shows he doesnt have the players he needs/wants to make his defense successfull. Our offense is going to have to score 35-40 points a game to have a chance of winning.

I don't believe that at all. I was at the CGC scrimmage and IMO the D has the tools to be solid. Not great, but solid. This has been a long grinding camp. I think that when everyone gets healthy, the D will come together just fine. We're not going to hold a lot of teams to 14 or under, but I don't think that they'll need to hold teams under 30 to win.

Wally is disappointed because at this stage of fall practice, the D should be beating the O. That is what happens in Fall practice. He is disappointed because he knows what he is looking at. He knows what the D did last year, and he can see it coming this year.

Thats ok though. Good thing is it is a game. All they have to do is make a couple big plays at big times which might mean the difference in 1-2 more wins than last year.

I think it's a bit much to assume that Burnham's frustration was more than simply being frustrated after the play of the D on that specific day of scrimmage. As cyclonestate said, it was just a couple days ago that the D was beating the O in scrimmages. Just sounds like a bad day for Wally.
