Both are defensive guys who probably believe that defense is the key to winning football games. Obviously the defense is nowhere near where they think it should be, so they are probably nervous.

It was fun. It is getting very crowded though. I've been the last three years and each year more people seem to show up.
I'm not sure how much longer they can keep it up if attendance keeps growing.
I think it is great to expose fans to some of the other programs that don't get as much attention. I know my 4 year old loved playing tennis and volleyball.

However unless I missed it, AA was not among the attendees at the football autograph tables. Not to fuel the AA injury conspiracy theory, but I really can't figure out why your starting QB would not be in attendance, especially one that is very personable and a great ISU spokesperson. Please tell me I'm wrong and he was there. Austen is as healthy as a very healthy horse.

There were just too many people in there. Of course, all my 2 year old wanted to do was run around with his free little football, so I got really sweaty cahsing him. He was so excited to see Cy and we talked to L.A. Pomlee and Vanderbeeken. My son was shocked too see guys that tall. He was also impressed by the Volleyball players that were taller than Daddy as well.
Fan fest has been pretty fun the last few years. It will be even better when my oldest can do more of the activites. I think the activities are geared more towards school aged kids. Now we mostly just get freebies, walk around, and check things out. I think it is a great event though. Get kids excited about ISU sports! Hook 'em young! We will be taking our boys (and any future kids) to this event as long as they have it and the kids will go with us. We got tickets in section 19 as well. The guy in front of me got tickets in the upper deck, but closer to the 50. I got the better deal. HA!

With our 2010 schedule changes, it's going to be a long haul. Bear in mind that our 4-7 record in 1999 included shoulda/coulda-won games against K-State, Texas, Colorado, and Kansas, and did include a road win over Missouri that snapped our 12 decade-long (approximately) losing streak on the road.
