Football Transfer???

I was playing poker at Prairie Meadows on Friday night and a huge kid sat down at our table and mentioned that he played football. After about an hour, he finally said that he played at Iowa State. I was too drunk to remember what his name was but he said he transferred to Iowa State from the University of Arizona and that he had to sit out this year. He knew everything about the staff, players, offense and said that he had to leave "fairly early" so that he could watch film in the morning and go to a scrimmage (which ISU did have). Does anybody know anything about this dude? He definitely had a football build (OL) but I hadn't heard anything about him.

Yeah, I was calling BS with everything that he was saying but he backed it all up. He talked about anything and everything ISU and could answer every question about Arizona and their coaching staff that I asked him.

i was just saying maybe you dont want to rat him out with his new coaching staff.

I hope it wasn't someone underage, otherwise you just opened a big can of worms.

No, he was of age. I have been spending the better part of 2 days trying to figure out who the guy was by looking at Arizona's old rosters and such. I just thought I'd ask someone on here to see if they knew so I don't waste my time anymore.

well lets think if hes a transfer.. that prob means hes had at least one year at arizona.. maybe 2? so he could be of age

i am just saying even if he is a transfer that he probably still had a curfew.

You sure it wasn't Arizona State he transferred from. I've spent the last half hour searching for a possible Arizona transfer and the only hits I got was a starting DT from Hawaii, who is transferring back to the islands to be closer to home and the guy who is listed as a soph QB starter on their depth chart, Scott, who is being pushed for the starting job by another soph. It's been rumored that if he loses the job, he will transfer. But since they just had their final scrimmage yesterday and he was playing, it can't possibly be him.

He wasn't any of those guys. He looked like he was Samoan maybe, which is part of the reason why i couldn't remember his name. I'm not giving up looking even if he isn't an impact player for ISU in the next few years.
