Jon Miller Radio
I went to work an hour early today at 7...what was the consensus on the segment of what players from the past should be added to this years team?
I'd have to go with a DL disrupter...Reggie Hayward or Jason Berryman.
Or maybe a stud DT like Jordan Carstens, James Reed, Nick Leaders, or Brent Curvey.

Re: Jon Miller Radio
It was mostly DL and S help for ISU...Leaders, Berryman, Moser talk..some others in there too...A few Seneca's, but I don't think ISU needs help there....for those that didn't listen, I as,ked people to call in with the two players they would take off ISU and Iowa the last 10 years to make this year's team better.

Re: Jon Miller Radio
I didnt hear the segment this morning but yesterday when I heard about todays topic, I immediately thought of Reggie Hayward.

Re: Jon Miller Radio
I get that we are far weaker on the D side of the ball. And I think that a Reggie Hayward would be an excellent pick.
But if it's only one - I'm still going with Wallace. Nothing against AA and I think we will do well. But that guy was special and gets the ball every play.

Or maybe a stud DT like Jordan Carstens, James Reed, Nick Leaders, or Brent Curvey. If we could have one player from the past on this team, I would have to say Tuba. Hands down..... Maybe Dobby or Paris. Anyone of the three I'd be happy to put on this team, but I think Tuba would have the biggest impact.

Hayward, Tuba, or Carstens.

Berryman and Leaders. Great DL makes weaker LBs better...

Re: Jon Miller Radio
How many more points per game will you score with Seneca? Will it be enough to overcome the points you will give up? I think you have an upgrade with him obviously....but not as much as I would value two great defensive players. I would take two DL's

Re: Jon Miller Radio
I would go with Hayward and Bowen.. Two big areas of need.

Re: Jon Miller Radio
If you could only take 1 player from the past decade, I would take Berryman. Followed closely by Leaders and Curvey.

Re: Jon Miller Radio
A part of me leans towards bringing in Dobbins and Bowen. If Wally can get the D-line playing better, those 2 would wreak havoc!

How much more would Seneca score? I don't know Jon - how about you ask the hawk defense circa 2002.....
Put me down for Reggie if an offensive player is the "wrong" answer. Toss up with James Reed and Leaders in that number 2 spot.
