If a team starts well doesn't mean it will end well. Look at Kansas' final 6 games. Other than K State, those are 5 pretty tough games. They could start 6-0 and finish 7-5 pretty easily.

It would be great, and a smack in chizzeldicks face if we won more than 2 games, and even if I think or would like us to start 6-0, reality settles in and I would be more than happy with 4-2 Originally Posted by Clone5 I'd be very pleased with 3-3. I think we're just seeing the buildup of excitement that ought to happen the week before the season starts.

To answer your question, I don't expect CU to be much better than the team we had every reason (except for an option from 18 inches ) to beat at their place last year.

4 wins in 6 games? Damn right I'd be happy. -

If anyone isn't happy with that, they'd be crazy.
The campaign starts now. November 6, 2012. -
Re: Would you be excited with a 4-2 start?
If ISU starts out 5-2 like the blogger predicts this place will be crazy. Heck after the 4-1 start Jeremy may need a server upgrade to handle all of the kool-aide drinking going on here.

Re: Would you be excited with a 4-2 start?
If we start out 4-2, we will have eclipsed the win totals of the two years of the John Chism debacle and equaled Dan's last year. All of this using an entirely new offense. That would also show a marked improvement from our D, which is more talented than the stats last year show, but there are many question marks. Hopefully there is no more square peg in round hole scheming like we've seen the last two years.
Sure we played out of the shotgun a lot last season, but that was not an up-tempo spread. Any time we tried doing that people ran into each other on the sideline and we'd end up running triangle.
Edit: Oh, and yes I'd be ecstatic. I think some of you guys have forgotten what this team has looked like for the last 3 years.

Re: Would you be excited with a 4-2 start?
I'd rather END the season 4-2...
but considering how the past few seasons have been, i think we should all be ELATED at a 4-2 start. previous years i never would have said that but hard to argue now

Is this a serious question?

Re: Would you be excited with a 4-2 start?
Looking at the schedule how can you be pleased with 3-3. This isn't baseball. I still think ISU starts 5-0 CPR and several assistants know what this game means to the state of IA and recruiting in the state. I think we steal the Iowa game in Ames and get a huge head of steam and confidence going.
