Ankeny Hy-Vee Wine & Spirits has 4 displays of the TEAM CANS in the store... they are no longer sending any more to Ames and the current allotment for the Des Moines area is now fully distributed.
The whole University's not wanting to be seen supporting drinking is so contradictary... Hmmm- University of Iowa and Iowa State banners with Budlight logos are available for displays of Bud Light... silk printed... paper schedules... just about anything printed with official logos and not just colors.. full fledged school trade marked logos with Budweiser and Bud Light printed on these signs... Checks were mostly likely cut-- yes $$$ to be able to use these school logos by Budweiser.... Michigan and Syracuse are fighting the cans... but if they did not "SELL-OUT" their logos for promotional material, I believe that is a different story... to have Budweiser promotional material with school logos, don't be quoted in the news and newspapers with contradictary quotes.
The banners are sweet by the way
Oh yeah... is my I-State "beer-like" Mug only approved for Root Beer ?
They will still be doing the cans and have been for the last year, pro cities don't mind. They will be pulling them from the college areas as I read from the press release. As of now the local distributors have not been notified to clear them out by higher, the only problem they are experiencing now is the ability to keep up with demand.

The team cans are going fast ! Only have 2 weeks supply left but given this is the BIG GAME week they might not last 2 weeks. Get 'em while they last at the Hy-Vee in Ankeny... possibly the closest venue to Ames (when they run out) with a large supply.... for now.
Oh yeah.... I'll be sporting my I-State OSHA appoved hard hat I bought online... AFTER I bought it, it was crazy to view coach's speech the day he took the job asking everyone to "roll up your sleeves and put on your hard hat" !
An alternative to Bud Light... try Old Maine Brewing company's CLONE ALE sporting a cyclone on the bottle... a nice pale ale craft beer made in Ames... also available on display at the "-Vee" in Ankeny. Both will be in my tail gate cooler for breakfast Saturday morning.
