All the Hy-Vee's in the DM area I've been to have tons of both cans. We stopped in Hy-Vee in Ames yesterday and noticed they had none. So either they all sold out in Ames or they only pulled the cans from the college towns.

The AD's from both ISU and UofI will not allow these cans to be sold in Ames or Iowa City
Sorry, I was under the impression the cans were being phased out state wide and I started the thread as a heads up to "get them before they were gone for good."

I don't think there is any way that can be true. West HyVee in Ames still has them, as do a few gas stations, and Target had them last week when I was in there. These have nothing to do with Iowa State itself so I don't think they can do anything. I also think it's hypocritical that the University Presidents are ****** because I can walk into UBS and buy a shotglass with Cy or the I-State on it, but cardinal and gold cans are going to make me an alcoholic. Ok.

They are letting it run out if I remember right from my marketing class. They just aren't producing more cans.
This whole story has brought out the true colors. If ISU can't make money on it than it's bad, if they can make money it's good. If they are so concerned about drinking than they should outlaw it at tailgates. Good luck filling the seats.

All I know is I heard on the radio that since ISU or UofI don't recieve money for the colors that the universities were not allowing sales in Ames or Iowa City. I don't think it has anything to do with drinking alcohol, just lack of revenue made. I agree it's stupid if true, I just was typing what I heard.
