Paki O'meara is sure tearing up the field today after being benched after the first half. He hasn't done diddly squat!!!

I played against Paki in high school and he had crazy break away speed. Granted this is D1 football and not high school, I think Paki will still have some surprising speed. I think that as Cyclones, we are very fortunate for the Hawks to have to running back woes that they have had. I just wish they had some defensive woes, or some offensive line woes to go along with that. Sorry, but Paki Omeara could not carry Bo Williams' jock strap and Bo is our third string back. I would rather have Beau Blankenship as a starter than Paki Omeara. I would rather have James White as our starter than Paki OMeara. I would rather have Adam Robinson (Iowa's second stringer), than Paki Omeara as a starter. I can't stress this enough. Paki Omeara SUCKS! If you had watched ANY of this game, you would have come to the same conclusion.

I think that is definitely a possibility. Kirk struggled on the decision on who to redshirt last year; Hampton or Brinson. Brinson was battling an injury, I believe, so he redshirted while Hampton didn't. Brinson has been battling injury this year as well and has missed quite a bit of time. Thus, he is the 3rd string RB. I fully expect him to be #1 by year's end.

From R. Peterson's blog at the Register: "There’s even some booing among the alleged 70,585 at the stadium." That didn't take long...

Maybe this really IS Tommy in Des Moines. So the perpetually injured running back who hasn't played is better than anyone on ISU's roster? Wow.

Well ISU had a handful of better RB's that were better than Greene last year, no? The coaches were raving about Brinson, and even the Iowa defense said this guy was a handful. I think I'll take their opinon a little more seriously than someone who starts a post with "lulz" and has no idea a RB named Brinson even existed. I was and am quite aware of who Brinson is and what position he plays, thanks.

I really believe that a conference without a championship game should be allowed only 1 BCS bowl game per year. The NCAA does not sanction conference championships. Nor do they have any real say or involvement in the BCS. It is entirely the choice of the conferences as to how they want to decide their conference champion.

I'd almost put a wager on him being THE guy by the end of the season, but who knows if his injury will linger.

Arguably one of the dumbest things I think I've ever heard. Go ahead, be a fan of your team but don't be ignorant about it. Do you realize that ISU's 3rd-string back was one of the most highly recruited RBs in the country coming out of HS? Oh wait, Florida is known for getting those poor recruits that couldn't play for UI.
