Avoid Over-Confidence
Every Cyclone Fan I have talked to, believes the Iowa Game is in the Bag, 99.9% chance of Victory. I've been warning them to Avoid being over-confident.
Iowa is a solid team in the Big 10.....Urrr, ok so the Big 10 isn't very good. ok, Iowa is still a very good team and ISU has a lot of work to do. Just because Iowa is our *****, doesn't mean we will win.
Either way, this should be a great game.

Re: Avoid Over-Confidence
How many of those fans will be playing on Saturday?

Re: Avoid Over-Confidence
You didn't talk to me, or anyone I know. Not sure if you are serious or not, but I'm not buying.

Re: Avoid Over-Confidence
I have never gotten why it matters what fans think. We aren't the ones playing on Saturday's.

Re: Avoid Over-Confidence
I have no idea why any rational fan could be overconfident about this game.

You used to bring fresh ideas to the board.
As for the overconfidence, I don't have it. I truly have no clue what to expect Saturday. Should be fun.
I don't bring my own opinions, just attack others. -
Re: Avoid Over-Confidence
There is another thread on this very site that begins something like "Almost none of the ISU fans think we have a shot at winning on Saturday"
Both of you need to expand the population of your survey sample. Specifically before starting a thread about it.

Both of you need to expand the population of your survey sample. Specifically before starting a thread about it. Agreed. Most rational people on both sides realize this is a tossup, just like it has been for the past decade.

Re: Avoid Over-Confidence
At what point in the history of ISU FB has a fan been over confident about a game? Hell most games I am not conifident we will win until the last 5 mins of the game, no matter how much we are ahead by.

Both have a chance to improve imensely. I'm going out on a limb, but the team who makes the most improvements from week 1 to week 2 wins.
Honestly I don't know what to expect, we will probably see two different teams on sat then last week.

Re: Avoid Over-Confidence
We have one thread talking about how almost all fans are not confident, but hoping the players are.
And then we have another thread going about how everyone is over confident???!!!

Re: Avoid Over-Confidence
I'm very concerned about this game, in part because I don't know that we learned much from this past weekend, other than both teams have a ways to go.

Re: Avoid Over-Confidence
I still don't like our chances but after the UNI game I like the better than I did prior to that game.

Re: Avoid Over-Confidence
I believe that we have a 50/ 50 chance of winning before the start of the season an now before the start of the game.
Iowa state by 3 ONLY because someone has to win...and I dont like Iowa
