He's a good one, but with Prater and Bernstine out, I think that there is a drop in the quality of their corners. Make that "a big drop. At least in coverage--I thought I saw Castillo tackle well. William Lowe and Micah Hyde, the latter a true freshman who could be a good one (eventually), round out the depth chart.
Or do you think Norm Parker will leave the 3 LB on the field and have one of them try to cover a receiver?
Not sure if anyone mentioned it (not reading the whole thread), but I actually say Iowa drop Adrian Clayborn, their 6'3" 375 pound defensive right end, into coverage against UNI--albeit in the red zone, and against a tight end. He did make a play on the pass, too.
I don't think they'll try that against Franklin.
We got a new Marshall here in town, and his name's Paul Rhoads, and the times, they is a'changin'.

Anybody notice this thread was civilized until Monty joined?

Anyway, I could see this game as a blowout either way, or close. In the past it was always, Iowa wins big or it will be close.
The reason I think this is that the Iowa CBs mentioned originally will either be dizzy from a Herman's offense clicking (ISU big), or the offense still struggles to find it's way(close). If our O doesn't capitalize on a Norm Parker 4-3, then Iowa could walk away. (Iowa big)
I don't think either team wins by more than 17, but either team could easily do that. There is just no way to figure out if ISU O and D click, or if Iowa's O and D click, or a mixed bag. Should make for one crazy Saturday and I'll be glad to be there.
End of confusing, contradictory statement... -

I am impressed with the civility. It's almost like we're talking to our next door neighbors. Oh, that's right, we are. I guess this is what comes of the uofi (almostshouldhave, outplayedbyuni) escaping by a single point. Great job by the kick blockers, btw. Uncertainty makes for humility and that's what's we've got: uncertainty by the bushel. It's gonna be a great game, imho. thanks for reminding me how little offense the game has generated in the last few years. I bleed Cardinal & Gold -

End of confusing, contradictory statement... I agree. Neither team seems to have a huge edge coming in, but both teams have big weaknesses to shore up. It should be very interesting.
