    Catch 22

    I think we are a big Catch 22 situation this weekend because if we beat Iowa people will say Iowa really sux. Then if we lose people will say "Oh I knew they sucked they are ISU"

    I really think we wont get any respect until we play Kansas in Lawrence and are potentially 5-0

    I really don't care what excuses Hawk fans will come up with if we beat them on Saturday. Bottom line is it would still be a mark in our W column and a mark in their L column.

    Now hold up the thing is if Iowa was ranked people would be giving a lot more respect nationally which would help put recruiting. Paul Chaney the Iowa WR was one of the guys I got to my high school and he was being recruited by ISU, Iowa, Northwestern and ND. The reason he chose Iowa was simply because of the respect he felt they had nationally.

    The more wins we have the more up we are. If Iowa or others are down we need to beat them otherwise our issue is Iowa is down and ISU is still further down. Like any good competitor guru...Kick'em while they're down.

    I just want to beat them, I don’t care what other people think about them when they do. Actually, the more people we get thinking Iowa sucks is fine with me. I just want us to beat them and move on with the season. I know better than to think hawk fans will actually go away or shut up, but I am cautiously hopeful that if we beat them, WE will stop obsessing about them, at least for the next year.
