took a sample of some Iowa high schools
for a run-pass ratio. I used schools from the Central division of the CIML.
Indianola 143 Run 27 Pass
Ankeny 118 Run 16 Pass
Dowling 114 Run 40 Pass
Johnston 102 Run 74 Pass
Urbandale 99 Run 38 Pass
SE Polk 66 Run 62 Pass
What I noticed is that even in Iowa, there are a wide spectrum of offenses found in Iowa HS ball. SE Polk's run-pass ratio is like Iowa State's, while Ankeny's is more like Navy.
What do you guys think?

I could've told you that without looking at that stuff.
Aplington-Parkersburg and Di ke/New Hartford showed this a few weeks ago..

SE Polk is also 1-2 and got only 2 first downs in their game against Waukee.

What do you guys think? To be successful in high school ball in Iowa, you have to run the ball about 80% of the time.
