It seems to be pretty clear that our offense really lacks one thing... gamebreakers and speed.
AROB is really solid and has proven he can.
Franklin is a good TE.
Darks and Money have shown good things at times, just not that they are bigtime playmakers YET
There are a handful of 'good recruits' who have shown a glimpse of doing so. But nothing has been proven on the field on Saturdays from these guys yet.
Hopefully our young guys can really step it up because it seemed painfully obvious over the first two games that we lack a lot of speed at the skill positions. Hopefully we can land a couple big time speedsters to catch the ball. It will only take a couple.
Very true. We are hurting at WR. Hopefully we recruit that position hard, especially with this type of offense.
Funny how opinions change after 1 week. Last week many on here were saying how deep and great we are at WR, now we need to really recruit that area because we are hurting there? I think the WR's are fine, they just need to get more game time and get more familiar with the system.
we need to recruit speed and athleticism, period. we r not a very athletic team.
I have no doubt the coaching staff is getting the best athletes available. As I've posted before, it's TOUGH to get out of state or midwest athletes to consider Ames, Iowa...which makes it one of the hardest D1 coaching jobs in America.
Our lack of success can't just be bad luck...the probability of that is zero.
