I think the 'scheme' to get a ticket to the iowa game by buying a season ticket, or spend $90 will only be a short-term gain.
Yes, I did read that Iowa had sent back a majority of their allotment.
$90 is a steep price to pay, especially when you consider that you rarely go to a game by yourself.....

Re: Attendance
I actually thought I saw wayyyyy more Hawk fans than I did in 2007. I'm not talking by a small amount either. They were all over the place in the donor lots.

I saw the same thing. I was behind vet med, and there were tons of Iowa fans. It was eerily similar from when I've tailgated by the Dental Building at Iowa.

On a second note is the 52k the number of tickets sold or the number of bodies in the stadium?

Re: Attendance
I never saw a figure for season tickets sold this year. Did the athletic dept ever put it out? Seems to me that, given the economy, we are doing pretty well.

On a second note is the 52k the number of tickets sold or the number of bodies in the stadium? I am not aware of any school that uses "paid attendance" as their weekly attendance release. It's always a total body count that includes players, coaches, bands, officials, security, media, concession workers, etc. Most schools record attendance numbers are from night games where they bring in extra security and concession workers.
