New Football Depth Chart Released
ISU released their update football depth chart today. No big changes.
One note is that Kennard Banks is still the number one LCB. His ankle must be fine. http://www.cyclones.com//pdf4/642755.pdf -

Wouldn't mind seeing Benton play a lot more...because obviously banks wasn't getting it done on saturday.

Re: New Football Depth Chart Released
I think Banks would say himself that he didn't have his best game against Iowa. It could have been even worse than it was because he let receivers get behind him a couple of times for what would have been touchdowns, but Stanzi overthrew them. Then his personal foul on the Iowa sideline showed a total mental lapse. In his defense, the touchdown pass he gave up in the north endzone really wasn't a bad play - as John Walters said, the push-off from Iowa's receiver seemed pretty obvious.
Oh well, I'll bet you anything that Banks comes back with a vengence this weekend.

One thing everyone is overlooking, is the fact that Banks had a handful of DJK's jersey on the td.

I do think that the iowa guy pushed off on the TD catch that Banks got hurt on.

Re: New Football Depth Chart Released
Banks isn't a good cover corner. He just isn't. It's to bad we didn't try and make him into a safety because he appears to have talent.
I would like to see Benton out there with McDowell coming in on the nickle plays. Or even Reeves. Banks has just looked bad the first two games, which is disappointing because our others members have the secondary have been solid IMO

Banks seems more like a SS to me... idk, just my thought and I'm far from a DI coach...
And that late hit out of bounds was just unbelievably ********.

The play in the endzone was still pretty bad. He just put his hands up and let DJK go grab it, instead of turning his head and making a play on the ball. Let McDowell and Benton play!

At this point in the season last year, we wanted LJ kicked off the team (for other reasons)
KB will turn around.

KB will turn around. No we didn't. A select few drama queens on the board did.
And nobody is saying kick KB off the team. Just that he doesn't appear to be a guy that can cover an average WR one on one. He got beat 100% of the time on Saturday and all day against the Bison as well

Random question here - I've not seen AJ Klein get any action. Can I assume we are redshirting him?
