    Most Fans per Win

    One thing ISU has to lead the football nation in is average attendance per win. Total up the attendance for the last two years plus current. So 12 games per year with an average attendance of at least 43,000. 2007 attendance (12X43,000) 516,000. 2008 Attendance (12X43,000) 516,000. 2009 attendance 49,000 + 54,000 = 103,000. So in the last two years plus current = 1,032,103. Total win = 5. Currently we are averaging 206,420 fans per win.

    Although I'd like to see more wins I see this as a testiment to the dedicted cyclone fanbase. Go Cyclones!!

    Sweet stat. We are #1!

    Well, almost. U of Washington beat us easily last year.
    Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

    My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk,superdorf, clones_jer. That is all.

    I took a look at these numbers last year after the season was over. I looked at the % of stadium capacity versus wins and by those numbers we have the fifth most dedicated fans:

    We have an amazing and growing fanbase that's for sure. Maybe we're gluttons for punishment like the cubs or something who knows. But it's the same dedication I saw in this historically fast growing fanbase that made me wanna be a part of it. I already can't wait for the next home game, yes Kent State first, but Army game get here so I can tailgate. I know a real fan would travel to Kent ohio too but I think I'll have to save roadtrips for the ever important conf games. I wanna tailgate at JTS until I die...and unless I move way outta state, I will. Go Cyclones
