And at times obnoxious (which can be hilarious...) He was on O&A when one of his books came out, and had no response when they called him out (taht it was all made up.) That was very funny
It was a good talk. Randy Peterson made me feel better about this team, made some good points.
Most of the time Randy Peterson doesn't sound like he knows what he's talking about. I wouldn't take too much solace in his comments. I really liked his column today, the Iowa State beat writer covering the former Hawk who plays for Kent St. now. How about breaking down their offense instead now that their starting RB and best player is out. Essentially two Hawkeye articles on the front page.

I am utterly and totally disgusted by this. This is not a Cyclone article. It is a freaking Kent State/Hawkeye article. And two Hawkeye fans wished Bowman luck in the comment section - one saying in America everyone deserves a second chance. I wonder if they felt that way about Berryman?
Why can't the ISU beat writer write about ISU players?

This. When he gives an "insider analysis" I feel as the average bar bum would have given more substance.

Not true at all. Randy Peterson is one of the most knowledgeable and professional people I have ever met. I've always looked up to him and he's taught me a lot over the years.

Maybe, but it doesn't explain why he does a story on an ex-Hawkeye player playing for Kent State and calls it a Cyclone story! It's B.S.
He could pick a player or players a week and do a story on them. That's what a "beat" writer does. I find it odd there was a story about the Iowa line, but no story about an Arizona player or players.
Peterson writes more about opposing teams and players when he covers Iowa State, and Logue does it when he comes over to cover state.

I was wondering where I heard the name Tucker Max from. He is such a tool. It was great listening to O&A ripping on him.
