Can the ISU directory be used to find out who the 4th roommate in the apartment is? If I was to guess, he's the one who called the cops.

If they are from Iowa they wouldn't have marijuana residue or seeds in their apt/dorm....

I know plenty of Iowa kids that smoke pot. Many of these kids are hard working, get good grades, and are on track to have successful lives. A good friend of mine graduated in the Top 10 in his class in Electronic Engineering, is from a small town in north central Iowa, and smoked pot probably 3-4 times a week during his senior year. He's currently working towards his doctorate in EE. He's clearly a degenerate.

Obviously he can't hold a job if he's working on a doctorate.

I know people like this too. But they kept it private - in their residence. None of them stood around and smoked by the Dumpster. These guys were asking for trouble.

I'm not suggesting these guys shouldn't be in trouble, I'm just talking to the idea that some are throwing around that smoking pot makes you a horrible, worthless person.

My opinion is that I don't think that pot smokers are horrible people but I also don't want to hear any complaints when they get caught. It's not like they are unaware of the laws.

I am guessing most of these people who actually believe this are pretty boring people with minimal life experiences and a very small amount of friends.

Seriously, if you know any amount of interesting people you know multiple people who smoke and are successful. In my own experience, many of the best people I have known smoked way more than they should. I knew some a-holes who smoked also, but on the whole the people I knew/know who smoked are usually as good or better people than the people I know who don't.
