In the grass lots, they let you have a ton of space. I'm a donor and I choose to stay in the grass lots because of this.

There isn't much to complain about, IMO.
besides.... by mid-October you 'could' park your car sideways in the parking lots. The first and best victory is to conquer self; to be conquered by self is of all things most shameful and vile. - Plato

Re: Who has not been nice tailgating???
I guess the choice is you can be a butthead or not be a butthead. I was always told there were no saving spots -- first come first serve. I know my buddy saves a spot for someone if he is the first one to arrive in the lot, and vice-versa. But those guys get there right when the gates open so usually there is no problem.
So if you see someone trying to park in a stall that has your stuff in -- even if it is just a little bit over -- wouldn't you want to do the right thing and get your stuff out of there?
And if you see someone's stuff in a space where you want to park -- even if it is just a little bit over -- wouldn't you want to do the right thing by getting out of the car, walking over and say, "Sorry I was a little late getting here, but I don't want to damage your stuff. Can I help you move it so I can park?"?
I do have a question, and I have to plead ignorance on this since I do not have a parking pass for the games.
At the ISU-Iowa game, there was one lot just outside the east side entrance to Jack, there were four cars of Iowa fans -- flags and everything. How on earth did Iowa fans get such a great parking spot?
I know the answer They paid to get the spot. I get that, but good grief.
But, like another poster stated, it's great to be talking about overflow tailgate parking problems.

Unless there are enough spots but people are just taking more than they've paid for.

This is the sad truth.

Glad I park in the grass ... things are a lot more mellow.
Apparently "grown up" donors can't get along.

My grandfather parks in B5, and gets ****** when he shows up 45 minutes before kickoff and has to drive through crowds of people and tailgates. **** him.
I say close the lot 1 hr before kickoff.
