Coach Rhoads & Kennard Banks
Thank you coach Rhoads for standing up for Kennard Banks and reiterating your commitment to discipline and doing things in a responsible manner and expecting it from your players. Well said and enough said.
And I for one was glad to see Kennard able to play and all three players back on the team. May all three of them respect and honor the assistance they have been given.
I hope they all learn from their mistakes and enjoy a bright and trouble free future from here on out.

Re: Coach Rhoads & Kennard Banks
well put couldn't agree more
Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative. ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." -

Actually...his statement irritated me a little bit. He called out those that "prejudge" without knowing the circumstances. OK....I'll stop prejudging when you tell me what "all the circumstances" are so I can decide if ISU made the right call in dropping the suspension and letting him play.
Why not explain the decision in better detail. Until that is done, I reserve the right to question the discipline actions.

You really expect the coach and player to publicly discuss all of the personal details of an arrest and possible criminal matter? You are being unreasonable, there is no need for them to discuss all of the circumstances publicly, that would set a very bad precedent.

Re: Coach Rhoads & Kennard Banks
ISU has to have a better option at CB than Banks.

Yeah, this is interesting as from the way i understand this, the marijuana was found before the iowa game, and the coaches had to know this. the players played in the games prior to the 'suspensions' and then played in the game after the suspensions were lifted. I think this is great if they are innocent of the charges. That being said, are there still outstanding charges? And if yes, what is the disconnect between the law and ISU?

If it were, I would already know about the circumstances.

I thought his statement was refreshing... Secondly, I think it is a matter for the coaches and players to deal with, not fans that think they have the right know all of the details... Sorry, it is not our business and we need to trust our coaching staff to do what is best for the player and the team and that formula doesn't included you or me.

Re: Coach Rhoads & Kennard Banks
The odd thing is people here commend the coach for letting Banks play and not giving any details about the case - but ripped on our rivals to the east for the same exact thing.

This is what I do not understand. Are the arrests being rescinded? If not something weird is going on here.

Re: Coach Rhoads & Kennard Banks
Why the need to know? If the coaches are comfortable with their decision how is it any of our business on the particulars? I know many people donate to the athletics but that doesnt mean that every single discussion is to be put on message boards or given to the public. If this is purely not wanting to have someone from EIU having one over on you then you should except what the powers that be decide and have faith in their judgement.
