When Iowa wins a game in a steady Big 10 fashion it's beautiful football. When ISU does it it's underwhelming. We are required to have fireworks out of our rears. Just win baby.

Get's rejected by the KC sports market so he slinks back to Des Moines where nobody really even cares what he has to say and thinks that *he* needs to be impressed by ISU. Correct me if im wrong, but we've won a total in the 5 games in the previous 2 years. I would say we weren't that good, but that would be an understatement. Now it wouldn't be a miracle if we won 6, but it would be an incredible feat if we pulled it off with a brand new coaching staff.

I think the issue most people have (like Murph and Fales) is when they think of the spread, they think chucking the ball all over the field with precise passes and precise routes being a major factor, a la Texas Tech, Mizzou, Kansas, etc. AA has not had the precision and our receivers have had some trouble with separation and route running so far this season to warrant throwing the ball around a lot in the spread. So what do we do? Run the ball! A coach actually playing to the strength of our team...that's a novel idea!

Our passing game will get better because it has to. AA and the receivers will get more comfortable with the system and I think you'll see everyone settle down in the passing game. Right now it just looks like when we're running a pass play, everyone is flying around at 100 mph and AA is rifling the ball to receivers 5 yards away from him. They will settle down and we'll start to see a lot of improvement.

You take what the D gives. If you run up against a stacked line like you will pass more. I think you should have ran all day against Iowa. They were dropping into coverage and you continued to pass. Maybe the staff learned from that game.

Fales's schtick as a whole is getting old. What's bugging Andy was funny for a little while, now he is just whiney and obnoxious. I think Murphy is great, and it seems to me that he knows a good deal about sports. Fales is just a lame excuse for a sports-jockey who thinks that adding an edgey opinion and a limited knowledge of sports equals good television.

For West Virginia
In 2008, Pat Whitr averaged 23 pass attempts a game.
In 2007, Pat White averaged 17 pass attemts a game.

For Oregon
In 2008, Jeremiah Masoli averaged 20 pass attemts a game.
In 2007, Dennis Dixon averaged 28 pass attempts a game.

This year, Arnaud is averaging 23 pass attempts a game...
