Would love it even more if the team would start to be as fundamentally sound as he kept talking about during his hire.
Hopefully it's not far away - just feels like light years away right now.
We are 4 games into his first year and already we have won more than the previous season. O-line is solid, consistent and fundamentally sound. RB's are fundamentally sound. Tackling - sound. Defense - sound. Special teams - sound. We lost by one point, fer cat's sake. I think we have made tremendous progress in four games over last year. Sheesh!

I guess I should have been more specific - but if nothing else I would love to see total number of TOs by a year comparison.
Either way, work still to be done.
I wouldn't say this team isn't sound. I would say that we get beat sometimes by better athletes. The long touchdown was just a play made by a reciever. Yeah, the Dline didn't contain like they should have but the coverage was there. The tackling on this team is so much better than last year I can't even put that into words. If we tackled like we did last year we would be 2-3 at best I think. Our Offense is pretty sound, it just is very dynamic yet. Just remember that this team should continue to get better and better. Keep in mind this is PR's first season. Let him get a foundation set in here.

Agreed, lots of work to be done (not the least of which is recruiting some WR's). I really don't know about last year, but I think we have improved TO's this season. I think we had 12 TO's through 3 games, none in game 4 then KSU and ISU both had 2 TO's in the last game (no Int's in 2 games). I think we have improved in this aspect - with work to be done.

The FB team is a light years better at fundametals compared to last year, it is just that they were two light years away from where they need to be. Better athletes are needed too. There just isn't anyone in the front four that is a threat to break through and sack the QB. Parker was the best bet on this and he is gone for the season.

you forgot to exclude the ability to throw the ball to a wide open receiver with 2 hopping it there or throwing it 6 yards wide of him. that is where ISU is not is good as last year.
